Worrying pictures show how parents can get it so, so wrong

Usually, parents will do anything to keep their precious children out of harm's way.
Whether it is preventing them from watching violent scenes on TV, or from riding on a white-knuckle ride at a theme park, they do their best to protect them from life's dangers.
But, as these shocking pictures show, this rule does not apply to all parents.

Not suitable: This man, centre right, is clearly enjoying watching a woman dancing in a bikini. However, his daughter looks slightly less impressed

Dangerous: Windsurfing is a sport which many adults would be terrified of attempting. But his dad decided to strap his baby to his chest when he went out to sea

Trapped: This child cannot be comfortable riding at the back of her (rather large) mum

Mother's and father's have been pictured exposing their children to dangerous situations and sexual images.
In one picture, a father can be seen reading the adult magazine Playboy with his young child while, in another, a young girl sleeps at the feet of her mother who is drinking at a bar.

The pictures, revealed by the Chive, also show a mother walking on thin ice with her daughter and a mum shopping while her daughter has a plastic bag over her head.
Some of the most worrying pictures expose the children to sexual imagery.

Unorthodox: This father, left, takes a photograph with his child resting between his legs. The woman on the right thought it would be a good idea to pose with a child hanging upside down

In harm's way: Many children enjoy eating cake mix.....but most parents wouldn't allow them to put a plugged-in food mixer in their mouth

Fall: This man looks very happy with himself on a swing, but the child behind him who has been knocked over by him will be less impressed

Foolish: It might have been wiser for this mum to place her baby on the pavement rather than in the road

In one, a man appears to be calling out to a stripper while holding his daughter in his arms.
Another shows a mum taking a sexual-suggestive photograph of herself in a bathroom while her child plays in the bath.
Although most children enjoy eating cake-mix, one child is pictured eating the treat from a plugged-in food mixer which is dangerously close to her mouth.
And although many parents will sympathise with the difficulties of getting a child into a buggy, most don't attempt to do it while the child is hanging upside down, as one mother pictured does.

Unsafe: This father travels on a rickety-looking bike with his two children attached to the back... and neither are wearing helmets

What is she thinking? This mother continues with her shopping while her child puts a plastic bag over her head

Dozing: While this girl's mother enjoys a drink at the bar, her daughter is passed out asleep at her feet

Painful: With this young boy clearly in pain after being trapped underneath a toy truck, his parent thought it would be a good idea to take a picture

Dressed-up: Nothing about this picture is right, particularly as a young child is involved

This trend is continued in another image where a woman poses for a photograph while also holding a child upside down.
One of the most bizarre aspects of the set of photographs is why they were taken in the first place.
One young boy is clearly in pain as somebody takes a picture of him trapped underneath a toy car.
Other worrying pictures show a man windsurfing with a child strapped to his chest and another shows a baby left in a car seat in the middle of the road.

Attacked: Although this looks like a happy, family picture, one young boy looks like he is being set upon by the family dog

Not right: This mother could perhaps have found a better way to put her child back in his buggy

Confused: This little baby isn't sure what to make of the toy bullet which has just been fired at his head

Chilling out: While his parents shop, this child is left relaxing in a trolley in front of a giant TV screen
